HIV Task Force
The HIV Task Force members provide HIV related trainings during Pre-Service Training (PST) and In-Service Trainings (IST), undertake an HIV related project in their community, and participate in all aspects of at least one of our four national projects.

Peer Support Network (PSN)
PSN members assist the PC medical and safety and security staff during PST and IST by providing the “volunteer perspective”. PSN members are dedicated to providing volunteer support through providing a confidential listening ear and organizing biannual retreats.

Diversity
The Diversity Committee promotes understanding and awareness of trainees, volunteers, and staff in fostering proactive approaches towards the acceptance of all peoples within their range of diversity through offering emotional and social support, advocacy, educational trainings, and staff development.

Gender and Development (GAD)
Until power, respect, and opportunity are no longer gendered: GAD promotes sustainable gender equality, for both Nicaraguans and Peace Corps Volunteers by providing camps, technical trainings, and resources.

Sexuality Training Awareness and Response (STAR)
STAR’s mission is to support LGBTQ trainees, volunteers and allies, to collaborate with PC Nicaragua Staff on LGBTQ initiatives, and to assist volunteers in their activities addressing LGBTQ issues in Nicaragua.
