“What is the Peace Corps like?”

This question is one of the hardest for Peace Corps Volunteers to answer, no matter where they serve in the world.

In order to answer this question, Peace Corps Nicaragua Volunteers share their personal stories through Va Pue, a volunteer-run magazine for Peace Corps volunteers living and working in Nicaragua. In the past, Va Pue was published as a PDF magazine exclusively published by and for volunteers. Now, we have also made our magazine into a blog in order to share our volunteers’ stories with the rest of the world.

Now, what does Va Pue even mean? It’s a term used in Nicaragua for “Okay then” or “see you later.”
