via @peacecorpsnicaragua: #repost @spyagnes: “Yesterday we talked about contaminants in science class. We started off with a homemade ‘watershed model’ (thanks to @southriverfed for the inspiration!) to show how things like cow poop, fertilizers, and trash on the island eventually wash into the lake when it rains. Later we did an experiment with a lit cigarette inside a bottle with a cotton ball at the top to see the effects of smoke pollution and how it changed the color of the cotton ball. Luckily we didn’t even have to plan an experiment for sound pollution as the daily blasting music in the classroom next door provided the perfect example #peacecorpsnicaragua #science #education” #teacherlife #howiseepc
